Marshall University Virtual Tour

Virtual Tour of Marshall University
This projects was conceived as a means to share the views of  Marshall University with alumni and potential students.
The original concept of this project was to produce a single tour video of various campus location (above), but after reviewing the footage it appeared more could be done. Four more videos were created from iconic locations on the grounds.

Each video was given a little "Pop!" as factoids about the location itself and the surrounding buildings would bubble up around the scene as a nod to one of our favorite music video television show from late 1990s/2000s.

In addition to being recorded in 360° all the videos also include first order ambisonic audio.
This means the audio is locked and auditory queues follow the visuals of the video whether that is a car driving by or a bubble popping up.
The final video in the project was a last minute decision to take the 360° camera through campus and create a hyperlapse tour.  This ended up being the project's most watched video on Facebook with over 24,000 views.
